Rob Auger has spent the majority of his life working in and surrounded by the construction industry. With well over a decade of general contracting, new construction and development experience he is a specialist in the industry enjoying challenging projects.

Rob facilitated the infrastructure/heavy civil land development for residential homes then managed the vertical construction for close to 1000 homes for some of the nation’s largest homebuilders.

Next, he purchased two commercial properties then fully rehabilitated them over a 2 year period working closely with the counties historical district along with the development of the site specific plan. In 2011 it was back to residential construction as a Construction Manager for a national construction firm where he oversaw day-to-day operations and managed a team that facilitated over 500 residential rehabilitation’s including vertical and horizontal additions as well as new construction.

The diversification and amount of work managed by Rob has provided he and The Design Build Company team with the experience/guidance needed to mediate risk and bring blind spots to life by identifying action items as well as critical points.

John Currier
CCO | President

John is a United States Air Force Veteran. He has been in the construction industry for over 27 years. John has built or managed over 20K residential homes ranging from basic lower end starter homes to multimillion dollar customs along with hotels, schools, restaurants, apartments.

John also designed and built a radio station and studio for a local radio show in the Sacramento area. Within the 27 years in the industry, John has held the position of VP of construction and Operations, for both public and private home builders.

John has extensive knowledge in all aspects of construction and was the GM of one of the largest framing companies in the state of California. Prior to joining The Design Build Company team, John owned and operated his own General construction company for the last 8 years.

Some of you may have had an opportunity to see John on the DIY and HGTV networks where he worked alongside the host of multiple TV Home Improvement shows as the General contractor on, House Crashers, Yard Crashers, Kitchen Crashers, Yard Core and Turf Wars.

Brian Bradford
Client Representative

Brian has spent the last seven years getting a wide variety of exposure and experience in the residential construction industry. The first three and a half years of his career was performing remodels for some of the nation’s largest development firms.

During this time Brian developed a sharp eye for improvement opportunities in flip and remodel projects.

Not only would Brian produce the scope of work for the project, but he would contract the project, manage it through completion and ensure it was to the highest standards. Always seeking new challenges along with a passion to grow and learn Brian then became the Vice President of a highly respected general contracting company that specialized in remodels, additions and new construction. Adding new construction to Brian’s experience really opened his eyes to how much he enjoyed creating something from scratch and really enjoyed the ability to be a part of the design process. Brain’s previous experience makes him uniquely qualified to be a Construction Manager for a new construction company that also specializes in design and build. Brain’s unique background has taught him the importance of understanding the design intent and how properly capture then execute the design on his projects.

He started building houses when he was 16 years old and took drafting and construction courses, not sure of what he wanted to do. He just knew that he wanted to either build houses or design them. After a brief stint in the Union, he took a job in the truss industry. From that point he worked for two different companies steadily for 10 years and did framing on the side. He eventually returned to framing and has been a foreman for 30 years. With The Design Build Company, he is now working his second stint as a Superintendent. Jay has worked with our President John Currier on and off for 17 years. He enjoys building homes for people and loves seeing the finished product. He goes over and beyond to make homeowners happy. He loves his job and what he does.

David began his construction career by building his family’s Lake Tahoe cabin 30+ years ago. For the next 20 years he worked as a Framing Contractor building in the foothills of El Dorado.

For the last 10 years, he has worked as a General Contractor working on multiple projects throughout the Bay Area. He relocated to Santa Rosa after the Tubbs fire, working on rebuilds for family members. He brings his enthusiasm for building custom homes and working with new clients to every project.

Phil started in construction with his father at 15 years old, working on track homes and TIs. He served in the US Army as a tanker. After returning home, he went back in to construction building homes, commercial and industrial projects. He has 27 years of construction experience on many different aspects of construction.

Rick is a Revit based CAD expert and has been working with the software for over 7 years. The 3D modeling and massing abilities of this software is very helpful for clients as it brings the project to light in a 3-dimensional colorized perspective. Rick is known around the office as a ‘walking code book’, which is extremely valuable when developing construction drawings. This knowledge and skillset is also greatly enjoyed by the subcontractors in the field having plans developed correctly the first time, every time.
