Job Description – Construction Manager

General Responsibilities

  1. Directly Reports to the Senior Construction Manager within the region.
  2. Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, Building/Planning depts, Purchasing, Designers, Environmental, Cal-green inspectors, homeowners along with other specialists.
  3. Oversee, Coordinate and Schedule daily activities of all subcontractors and Materials
  4. Assist and review Purchase Orders, Scopes of work prior to awarding job to sub.
  5. Manage construction process to meet design specs, quality of construction, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  6. Oversee and manage site cleanup, safety risks and maintenance
  7. Create and manage Change Orders as they arise.
  8. Oversee project “reconcile” budgets
  9. Generate, monitor and update construction schedule and send to subs, client and VP every week for review.
  10. Pre-construction meeting with vendor/client/county. Biz Dev handoff to CM
  11. Project quality control: Inspect and Confirm all work is done in a workmanlike manner and is up to Caymus Builders quality standards and codes.
  12. Perform field measurements of Concrete, Framing, windows, Doors, plumbing, electrical, cabinets, etc. to ensure that it’s built and installed per plans, specs and local codes.
  13. Create “completion package” and send to Back Office
  14. Site walk with clients as needed
  15. Supervise and manage onsite Health and Safety risks.
  16. Respond to and problem solve work delays, emergencies and other issues.
  17. Report work progress and budget matters to clients, subs and management.
  18. Document daily job progress, Inspection issues, weather delays, budget issues.
  19. Review AP/AR with Back Office
  20. Perform tailgate safety meetings
  21. Take and send project progress photos to the client
  22. Attend Job walk meetings
  23. Schedule inspections and meet with inspectors onsite
  24. Attend workflow update meetings
  25. Great email etiquette and Knowledge of how to use Microsoft outlook email.
  26. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Project.
  27. Willingness to learn future computer/software programs.

Job Description – Lead Designer

General Responsibilities

  1. Specify interior and exterior finishes and materials
  2. Create interior elevations and details
  3. Create design concept boards
  4. Lead client meetings pertaining to design development and selections
  5. Visit jobsites weekly or as needed conducting walk through and checking that quality and design intent are being executed as needed.
  6. Work with CEO on new business leads
  7. Work with CEO and VP on Starter Budget allocations to ensure they are sufficient
  8. Review architectural plans (by others) and update spec book template while referencing Starter Budget and identifying any potential blind-spots
  9. Review design specs (by others) and reconcile spec book
  10. Attend trending budget reconcile meetings as needed

Furniture Division

  1. Assist in developing procurement process and requirements

Job Description – Drafter

General Responsibilities

  1. Collect site specific information and requirements and develop site plan and parameters
  2. Generate conceptual floor plans and exterior elevations based on project criteria and/or Principal Designer schematic sketches
  3. Develop interior elevations and details incorporating exterior and interior specifications
  4. Produce permit packages and provide permit drawing revisions
  5. Manage 3rd party vendors such as Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, Geotechnical Engineering (soils report), Title 24, Cal Green, etc. to obtain a permit
  6. Submit permit plans through City/County
  7. Produce full set of construction drawings
  8. Provide take offs to designer assigned to spec book development 9. Reports directly to Principal Designer

Skillsets

  1. Great email etiquette and working knowledge of how to use Microsoft Outlook email
  2. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Word and Excel
  3. Willingness to learn future computer/software programs
